Our eighth show!
Ep. 8: Paleo on the Road

In this episode, Stacy and Sarah answer your questions on how to live paleo in a non-paleo world. Diane Sanfilippo of Balanced Bites and Practical Paleo help them tackle eating in restaurants, eating while traveling and eating at other people’s houses. Can a paleo lifestyle be maintained when you’re not in your own kitchen? We answer a resounding “YES!” And if not, well tell you how to heal your gut from accidental gluten exposure.

Awww, thanks for the mention and the link love! As soon as I get some quiet time, I’ll listen. You guys should be so proud of all the critical topics you are covering in these podcasts! So often hearing information sticks with folks and has far more impact than reading it. Dealing with travel, avoiding gluten, and recovering from being glutened are all things that many struggle with. I’m sure I’ll pick up some new tips by listening! Thanks again, Shirley

Hi Stacy, I was just listening podcast on the autoimmune protocol and you mentioned not knowing of any restaurants in the area that are healthier? I wanted to make a recommendation – Maple Avenue restaurant in Vienna, VA. We are in Fairfax County and it’s probably 25 minutes. The food is fabulous!

Sugar and salt as additives are also avoided fully. You can shake off persistent food-generated allergies by eating the foods that make the Paleo diet what it is, since gluten and casein are two substances introduced to our diet by the ill-advised choices of agriculture, and to which our bodies respond with a variety of uncomfortable responses. It will greatly boost your chances of staying as healthy and fit as our ancestors, rather than like the overweight, diabetic, allergy-ridden population that exists here today.
