You’ve been hearing about it for months now, salivating with anticipation since we announced it in December of last year. You’ve seen reviews all around the internet. You’ve diligently entered our many giveaways. You can’t wait any longer to dig into it and get started cooking up some pork! Well wait no longer because Beyond Bacon is HERE!
Wait! Before you run to your car or mailbox, allow us to take a moment to say “thank you” to all of you.
Thank you for supporting us in our tiny corner of the worldwide web. Thank you for embracing this crazy idea we got last year to write a whole book about pigs. Thank you if you bought it, liked it, shared it or even thought to yourself “Hey! I ought to check that out one day!” Thank you for inspiring us to continue cooking and writing.
If you had told me four years ago that I would write a successful cookbook that people would say stacks up against cookbooks written by actual, real chefs, I’d be completely confused. How could I write a cookbook when I don’t even cook all that much?
But switching to paleo has done more for me than simply improve my health and help me take off some pounds. Being involved with PaleoParents has truly changed my life. You see, my defining characteristic for all of my life has been this desire to connect to people coupled with an intense and overwhelming fear of social interaction. The very best thing that paleo has done for me was give me the platform to connect with and help people. If I’ve ever made something that inspired you to get out a pan and cook, I want you to know that you have helped me in ways you could not imagine.
Back to the main story, though! Beyond Bacon is in your local bookstore or on a UPS truck to your house!
If you didn’t pre-order it, you can still buy it from Amazon or Barnes and Noble where it is still selling below list price. And we have received confirmation that it is now on shelves at local book retailers as well! If you are able to purchase in-store, this would be SO huge for us – since book sellers base future orders on initial sales. And if book sellers then re-stock, more people will find the book… but that means it has to be bought to begin with – that’s where we need you!
We need your help
Once you receive your copy, we’d love for you to read it, cook with it, learn with it, share it with friends and family. We want you to thoroughly enjoy it. And, when you’re done, we’d love for you to spread the piggy love. We (pretty please) humbly request, if you are able, that you:
- Post a review on Amazon
- Post a review on Barnes&Noble
- Post a review on Goodreads
- If you host a website/blog, post a review, if you haven’t already (email us a request to do so)
If you are in the Northern Virginia area and happen to be free on Friday night, why not come out to the Red Apron Butcher in Merrifield and celebrate the release of our book with us and many of our most awesome friends and fans? We’ve got some people coming from California or even driving 6 hours – you should come too! (click the image for more details and to RSVP)
(Note: Stefani is actually not able to attend, but you get the bonus of The Paleo Mom, Sarah Ballantyne!)
We’re really looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible that night and having a fun night of celebrating the birth of our book (what Stacy calls, “our fifth child”)!
Also, if you haven’t already entered, check out our HUGE giveaway we announced last Thursday! We’re giving away a lot of awesome stuff!
This giveaway ends at the stroke of midnight Thursday, so enter while you still can! We’ll have a brand new giveaway on Thursday that will be equally as exciting, so come back even if you don’t win!
Get the Gear
If you are enjoying the book or its aesthetics enough that you want to spread the word, how about a Beyond Bacon t-shirt? We recently launched this line, and today we debuting a brand new design, I like pig butts and I cannot lie!
Finally, don’t miss out on all the interviews and podcasts coming up this week!
and of course…
Stacy and Sarah are joined by several friends (The Domestic Man, Against All Grain and The Food Lovers Primal Palate) who were early recipe testers for Beyond Bacon and they all interview Stacy about the making of the book and tell of their experiences cooking out of it in Episode 46, which we are affectionately calling the “Weblebrities Episode“!
Sneak Peak Inside
If all of that doesn’t make you want to turbo down to the local bookstore and pick up your copy, we don’t know what will! But, if you have any questions we haven’t yet answered, let us know – we’ll add it to our Frequently Asked Question page for the book!
We hope you enjoy our book, and May the Pork Be With You!Pin It
