Calling Recipe Testers for Real Life Paleo

Remember when we announced Real Life Paleo was coming? We weren’t kidding! We’ve been working incredibly hard to push this out as quickly as we can, making anywhere from a dozen to over twenty recipes once a week. Sometimes recipes need to be tested over and over again in our kitchen until we’re ready. And sometimes the first time’s spot-on. But all of that doesn’t matter if we don’t write the recipe down correctly or write the instructions clearly enough. Which is where you come in.

Requirements

As you can imagine, we’re likely going to have more people interested in testing than we can actually manage. So depending on the entries we will randomly choose 10-15 winners to help us test recipes. There are a few requirements, so please read carefully before entering to ensure you can agree with and meet the criteria.

  1. You must agree to test at least 10 recipes (of your choosing) within 2 weeks of receipt of them. If you sign-up for one recipe that is “linked” to another, you must test both.
  2. You must agree to a non-disclosure statement and promise to not leak the information and recipes we share.
  3. You must either live in the US or agree to receive the .PDF version of the book if you win.

Chocolate Layer Cake with Strawberry Icing and Fresh Berries

How it Works

After agreeing to the non-disclosure statement, we will give you access to a list of recipes and, first come first serve, you sign-up for the ones you want to test, at least ten and as many as you want and promise to complete on-time. Two people per recipe, and there’s about 175 recipes. If one recipe is needed to make another (for example, spice blends, sauces, strawberry icing for chocolate cake, etc.) you will need to sign-up for all of the ones marked accordingly “grouped” together.  Then once you’ve finalized your selections you’ll let the team know and they will send you those recipes. You will have two weeks to provide feedback. We want to know any and everything about the recipe, from taste to if the instructions made sense and were easy to follow.  Then, in a few months when the books come back from the printer and before they are available to the public (you know, when all the bloggers start teasing in social media) you’ll get your copy of Real Life Paleo for early review!

Hi – I’d loved to be a recipe tester! I run the community website Stuffed Pepper and have lots of members that I can share the book review with. I’m so excited for the book, because I keep telling my community that paleo tastes good, and now I will have more proof! ;-)

  • http://www.stuffed-pepper.com Heather Jacobsen

I also did a book review of Eat Like a Dinosaur, and my kids still adore the book.

  • http://foodembrace.com/ Andrea

I’m just excited for the cookbook to see even more paleo recipes. I preordered it as soon as you mentioned it. I have Beyond Bacon which I love and it’s currently tops as my favorite cookbook.

  • Katherine Converse Fritz

I would love to be a secret tester! I have been following a Paleo Lifestyle for a year now, and my kids are on-board too. They love trying new recipes, and I’m excited to see some more recipes from you – especially if my 15 year old can handle some of them on her own. Thanks!

  • Betsy

I also own and left a review for Beyond Bacon! Love that book!

  • Bri

  • Jessica

I haven’t pre-ordered yet, but I love what I have made from Beyond Bacon! I try to incorporate a few of the recipes into my meal prep for me and a friend every month! I would love to be a taste tester! I have plenty of people tasting my goodies, and I would love to taste yours!

I’m most excited about the “Paleo” makeovers of some favorite treats (and I don’t just mean the sweet stuff). I don’t eat a lot of treats, but if I want to indulge, it’s nice to know there is a tasty Paleo option.

  • Krissy Holland Wood

I have left reviews of both your books, and recommend Eat Like a Dinosaur or give it as a gift to all my friends, especially those new to Paleo. I would love to test your new recipes!

  • Rebecca G

While I LOVE many of your recipes, I’m not going to lie that I’m GIDDY to try and make your Peruvian chicken recipe. Going paleo a year and a half ago changed my health, life and my relationship with the kitchen and food. Spending time in the kitchen making food that nourishes my body is something I never want give up. Being a tester for you would be such an honor and an amazing experience.

  • http://littlespoonblog.com Alexis Russell

I would love to test because I have been having some serious cravings for some of my pre-paleo favorites like chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal rounds, but finding the perfect alternative can be really hard. Plus I love to bake and any excuse to spend more time in the kitchen works for me!

  • SunGryphon

I would love to test! I have all three of your other books and cook from them regularly (we just made the stuffed bell peppers from Beyond Bacon last night!).

  • http://www.iamcfstrong.blogspot.com Aimee Lecointre

I would love to help! I made the switch to paleo last fall and am amazed at how I feel and how much energy I have. Symptoms that I figured were happening because I have Cystic Fibrosis are so much better, or just gone! I love cooking and I love trying new recipes!

I also own Beyond Bacon. It was one of my first paleo cookbook purchases. We love it. It taught me so much, like how to render my own lard, who knew?! It’s full of delicious and flavorful recipes and I can’t wait to see what you put out next!

  • http://www.superflash.org Katie

I would *love* to be a recipe tester!! I’m totally loving all the preview pics that you posted, but I think I’m most excited about that chips & dip recipe :) (princessktkat @gmail)

  • Allie Daniel

We pre-ordered Eat Like a Dinosaur before it was out and have been hooked on your recipes ever since! My kiddos and I would LOVE to be recipe testers! I think they will be most excited to try the chicken fingers, because they love the “fools gold” nuggets from ELaD. :)
    Allie

  • Melissa Pippin

I would love to be a taste tester. I love your “eat like a dinosaur” book, we use it quite often. I have celiac and a few other allergies so the paleo diet is the only way I can eat and I’m always looking for fun new recipes to try. This would be so much fun. Thank you !!

  • Kjuni

I am most excited about Real Life Paleo because it will be great to continue to cook healthy versions my kids’ favorite foods. I have preordered Real Life Paleo.

  • Hayley

Really excited for some kid friendly recipes!

  • CMM

I would love to test some recipes! Having been Paleo for 2 years, I’m still trying to find staple recipes that are worth repeating! Although, I’m really good at trying new recipes, at least 3-4 times per week!

  • Robin

I would love to help test recipes. We tried several of your recipes and haven’t been disappointed yet.

  • Heather Mursch

I’d *love* to be a tester, as my family just started eating paleo and we need recipes! Especially for my 12 year old – to keep it interesting and tasty!!

  • Beth Mickens

Can’t wait! I’m most excited for the “real life” recipes! Ever since I switched my daughter to a paleo diet I’ve also been making paleo dinners for her and my husband (who isn’t paleo). It’s been a task but I know it’s worth it! Having a book full of new yummy recipes would be super helpful!

  • lornasawyer

We just purchased all the cookbooks at our local bookstore within the last month. We homeschool and my daughter has decided to use the Eat Like a Dinosaur book as her summer project. Creating meal plans, shopping even planting a small veggie garden. You have inspired her as she has similar issues to your boys. Thank you for this opportunity to be a tester!

I have let comments for both books. Can’t preorder as I used my book money for the month….perhaps I can convince them to get the book for mother’s day! :)

  • Catherine Velasco-Houlahan

Oh please please please pick me! I am so excited about this cookbook because I have three little kids (one 6 yrs, one 3 yrs, and the other barely 1) who would greatly benefit from mom learning how to cook more dishes! My family of five only started Paleo December 2013 and I only started learning how to cook then (haha, that was quite a learning curve)…so I am not expert at cooking! I would make a perfect tester because I will tell you if I do not understand something or something is missing from instructions (I am the most basic cook there is!!! next to my sister that is :P). Thanks!

  • Heather G

All of the recipes you have previewed look so yummy. When completely changing your lifestyle, it seems overwhelming and, at times, just not doable. Your recipes really help someone, like me, have hope and we can do this! :) I would love to be a recipe tester!

  • Robin

We own Eat Like a Dinosaur cookbook. I just the chicken nuggets last night for dinner.

  • Jen Wilford

I would LOVE to be a recipe tester! My kitchen has been “paleoized” for about 3 years now. I am familiar with the ingredients and most of all, I LOVE to cook. In any event, I can’t wait for your new book! I have the others and sooooo enjoy them.

  • Amanda H.

I am a fellow paleo strongwoman who loves to cook! It would be an honor to test out your new recipes. I love your #strongwomanfuel posts on instagram. Helps me get into the mindset that every meal is fuel for the next training session!

  • Larissa Gregorin

I would love to be a recipe tester! I can’t wait to see what time-saver tips you have in the kitchen :)

  • Machelle Dykstra

I would love to test your “real life” recipes. I have been on-and-off paleo for a year and a half. Most of the “off” time is because my family struggles to conform. :) I’m looking for meal options that will suit my picky children, and delight my husband and I.

  • Larissa Gregorin

I own Beyond Bacon and cook out of it more often than not! I got about 300 lb of pork a few weeks after I got the book, and it’s been perfect <3

  • Kimberly Yap

    Wings! We love wings :)

  • Laura Bradshaw Baucom

I would love to test recipes for Real Life Paleo! I spend most of my day cooking anyway, so it would be a pleasure to try brand new recipes. I am most excited for all the Thai dishes, especially “Drunken Noodles.” I have excellent verbal and written communication skills and take a scientific/analytical approach to everything I do, as my background is in research science.

  • Kiley Haskins

I would love to be a tester! As a mom of two kids, I look to your site and books frequently for ideas! You guys rock!

  • Trish

I love the recipes you share on your site, so I know this cookbook with be out of this world delicious!

  • Trish

I own Beyond Bacon and it was a great asset during my first purchase of 1/2 a hog.

  • Katie

Testing recipes would be AWESOME! I love getting inspiration from books and make it a point to try new recipes for at least half the meals we have every week! How great would this be?!

  • C.O.

I would LOVE to be a recipe tester. I’m a full-time working mom with two active kiddos and find the time to prep Paleo/Primal meals each week, so we are a great example of Real Life Paleo! :) We love Eat Like a Dinosaur, and I haven’t yet purchased Beyond Bacon (shame on me, I know!). And we did get your 3 Phase Paleo sneak peek in the Primal Life Kit bundle this week! :)

  • DeeDeeBee

I would absolutely love to be a tester! My family and I enjoy cooking and eating paleo. If you choose me, you also get my 16 year old daughter and my 11 year old daughter. We take turns in the kitchen and we are all great cooks. We are a homeschooling family and value verbal skills and agree to follow your recipes exactly! Please pick us!

  • Amy

I’m excited for your new cookbook to become my go to resource for everyday cooking. I’m mostly paleo, but my hubby and two boys are not. I’m looking forward to transitioning them over with your help, through this upcoming cookbook!

  • Jessica K

I’m most excited for the meal plans and menu ideas. I would love to be a tester, as I already spend most of my free time cooking/baking and would enjoy trying some new recipes while helping the Paleo Parents enhance the lives of others.

  • Vanessa Torrens

I’m excited about having new recipes to try, especially ones that are simple, straightforward, and for the whole family.

  • Amy

You really NEED me to test for you! I have such a diverse family and you will want all of our opinions! We not only have a teenage boy who of course does not relish eating paleo with mom, but puts up with it, but we also have a two year old who tells me all the time if something is NOT DELICIOUS( delicious is his new word). He still wants PBJ every single day. On top of that, we have a three month old who keeps me hopping and I need realistic recipes for time’s sake. Then there is my married daughter who I suspect got married and moved out just so she wouldn’t have to eat paleo anymore. Throw in that dad who just loves to eat, like me! Yep…. a while diverse group in one!!!

  • Rebeca Groover

I’m hoping this book will provide more simple, kid friendly, paleo recipes for a busy mama of four! My husband eats paleo and the rest of us eat low grain/sugar. We have Eat Like a Dinosaur and enjoy using it.

  • Megan

I am most excited to try these because of how they will relate to my blog. I love writing simple, every day use recipes for my readers and I would LOVE the inspiration for these. I hope you used local ingredients because I live in Annapolis and I know that many of the ingredients that you use could be readily available to me as well! LOVE your books and your blog!

  • Sarah

I’m excited for more of your fabulous recipes… those carnitas tostones look especially good. And the chocolate chip cookies of course! Would love to be a recipe tester!

  • Melissa

I’d love to test out these recipes…. Coming up with ideas, and recipes to make can be hard and this sounds like an awesome way to get kick started on trying some new things! :)

  • Love In Everything

My family would love to test! We are a family of five, with three young, active, healthy, hungry boys. We are always looking for delicious, healthy food to feed our growing boys, as well as ourselves

  • Reyn Grey

New recipes! Yay! I am excited to see another book filled with child-friendly recipes. I have two young (4 years and 6 months) paleo eaters and LOVE finding new ideas for them to nosh on. The 4 year old loves picking recipes out of Eat Like a Dinosaur (the first paleo cookbook I bought) and the baby is just starting solid foods. Can’t wait for the new book!

  • Tracy

Absolutely would love to test. My kids have severe ADHD which had improved dramatically since going paleo.

  • C.O.

We own ELAD and left a review on Amazon.

  • Brittany Kappauf

I am SO excited for a new set of recipes beyond just what I find online. My husband and I are new to Paleo after our first Whole30 a month ago and are loving it, but I’m finding it hard being this new to be creative in my meals. We love variety in our menu and this set of recipes could be just the answer! I also LOVE cooking and good food so I think I’d be an excellent tester :) Thanks for this chance!

  • Rebecca C.

We would love to test here at our house! We are excited to enjoy recipes from Real Life Paleo because paleo recipes that are realistic for family life are truly treasures.

  • Rebecca C.

We also own ELAD and left a review- LOVE IT! Thank you!

  • Ashley

I would love to review, I am excited for new recipes to add to my rotation!

  • Amy Winkler

I cannot wait for this book! I love that your recipes are suitable for the entire family! My older son suffers from debilitating migraines, and my younger son is on the autism spectrum. I need delicious recipes to painlessly switch them to a Paleo lifestyle.

  • Jules

I would love to review. I am trying so hard to switch my kids to full paleo and it has been a hard journey finding recipes for my very, very picky child! WIth this I could have him help me and he would be your best critic!

  • jmcevoy

I would love love love to test out your recipes! I love the practical approach you take to Paleo and the fact that you realize and acknowledge that we can’t be perfect. Your recipes look amazing and kid friendly, and I can’t wait to try that artichoke dip!

  • Jules

I just preordered the book!! Cannot wait!

  • Amy Ayers

Cannot wait for your book in November!!! Why am I excited about Real Life Paleo? I have a non-Paleo husband and 2 children that I have had a difficult time getting to transition to a more Paleo lifestyle. I think this book would be a great way for me to continue working towards that goal……especially with my 2 boys. :)

  • Amy Ayers

I have left a review for Beyond Bacon on Amazon. LOVED that book (and still do). I had so much fun testing 7 recipes for you last year. Would be honored to do it again.

  • Brittany

I would love to test these recipes! I’m looking forward to Real Life Paleo for everyday, normal-folk recipes. I’m not looking for specialty meals or certain cuisines, just your run of the mill goodness.

  • Karissa Francis

I’m excited for more recipes coming from a family with kids!

  • Guest

Beyond Bacon was the first paleo cookbook I ever bought! It’s so beautiful besides being useful :) There’s a review for it on Amazon :)

(I’ve also mentioned it a time or two on my blog, but no post dedicated to just that.)

  • meg

I’m most excited about the chocolate chip cookies – I have yet to find a paleo recipe that’s as good as my old favorites… not to mention ingredients that agree with my system! I’m hoping this will satisfy both needs! :)

  • Hannah

I’d love to be a tester! I’m fairly new to Paleo, so I haven’t read your other books yet, but would love he chance to test for this one!!

  • Meli

I am very excited about this book! I am curious to see how the book can help with busy (and broke) college students on the go! I would love to review recipes! I swear I’ll have time in before the release to review recipes! ;)

  • Kelsey

Definitely most excited for the Chicken Fingers and the Snickerdoodle Whoopie Pies!

  • Shannon Williams

Gaaah! I’d love to do this! I have been Paleo for almost 2 years and opened a GF/organic (some paleo) bakery in October. My FB is a lot of newbies to GF and Paleo and I love sharing my knowledge with them and bringing them to guys like you for answers. Sadly, I dont own cookbooks (can’t afford them) but I have bookmarked TONS of your recipes on my phone. As a mom of an 11yr old with ADHD/Aspergers (and aPICKY PICKY PICKY) toddler eating can be a major pain. The big one misses prePaleo foods, and the toddler turns her nose up at everything in spite of being Paleo her whole life. Your Real Life book is something i am looking forward to to help with these issues. Of course i would NEVER disclose these recipes on my page before i was allowed to by you. I really really hope i get picked for this amazing opportunity. If you are curious my page is http://www.facebook.com/paddycakesglutenfree and if you ever are in the Tampa Bay area of Florida I would love to hook yall up with GF treats.

  • Kimberly

I’m excited for Real Life Paleo because I need more delicious, healthy recipes to add to my arsenal! My fiance and I just started in March and he’s a little skeptical, but each new delicious meal I cook brings him closer to being fully on board.

  • Jenna

I’m excited to have more paleo recipes that will work for my young and growing family! Plus, my husband wants to be a chef one day and loves testing out recipes.

  • http://www.quasico.com Char Christian

I’m such a super foodie and love cooking. I would totally love to test these recipes. I’m most excited about the kid friendly recipes (like chicken fingers!) for my two very picky toddlers! I’ve been paleo for almost 2 years and enjoy making new recipes, hacking existing recipes, re-working non paleo recipes into paleo recipes, and trying new paleo recipes. So excited for the chance to be picked as a recipe tester! :) I wish you all the best of success.

  • Kristen Elliott

Yes please! I’d love to test and can’t wait for the book! We love ELAD and I have lost 10 lbs so far going paleo. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Kristen Elliott

    Preordered the new book! Thanks!

  • Jenna

I own Beyond Bacon and just left a review for it! 5 stars :)

  • Wendy Anderson

I’m most excited about the concept ‘real life’ as a person that works 60 plus hours it has been a struggle to maintain a healthy life style. But, I love to cook and my family loves me for it!!

  • Erin Palmer

Oh man, I’m excited to try those chicken fingers!!!

  • Ruth Oesterman

As a professionally trained chef I’d LOVE to test any of your recipes! I make it a point to teach in my classes (and friends and family…and anyone willing to listen) that real food can be YUMMY and SIMPLE! Even I run dry of my arsenal of recipes and I can’t wait to try out your new book!

  • http://babbleandbloom.com Mary

I would love (obviously!) to be a recipe tester! My favorite recipes are tried-and-true, intuitive, delicious recipes that both push me to be constantly trying new things AND are easy enough to fit into my day-to-day– so needless to say, this book sounds like it’s going to be a literal goldmine of all of the above!

  • Ruth Oesterman

I also preordered the new book so even if I don’t win I still get to make delicious food!

  • Jenna

I just pre-ordered Real Life Paleo!

  • http://babbleandbloom.com Mary

I also own + reviewed Eat Like a Dinosaur (bought it as a resource to use when I was still in school & working as a full-time nanny, still use it to cook for myself & my niece/nephew when they come visit Aunt Mary)!

  • Jenny

I would love to be a tester! I’m excited to try some of your recipes. I just found you through Instagram and would love to see what your food is all about:)

  • Vicki

I would love to be a tester, I am most excited for new recipes for my kiddos to try out and fall in love with!!

  • DawnB

We own “eat like a dinosaur”. We have been fully paleo for 10 months now. I love to cook and bringing the kids into the kitchen with me. I used to be an awesome (wheat) baker. I have to say I really miss the “fun” of that type of baking and cooking. As hard as I try I have been unable to replace that with the paleo baking I have tried. I love trying new recipes and developing our new paleo pallet. However, finding fun stuff for my 2 & 4 year old is very hard. I have one meat and fruit eater and one raw veggie and baked good eater. Neither will eat much past that. This means they rarely will eat the same thing. I am looking forward for more family centered everyday eating options in your new cook book.

    • DawnB

Forgot to say that I would love to be a tester (with little tester helpers) for the new book!

  • Kristen Elliott

    Own and reviewed ELAD! Thanks!

  • Mikka Cardinelli

I’m excited for Real Life Paleo because my family and I are new to the Paleo journey. We are still looking for recipes that will become go to’s in our home and still have a menu that won’t leave others asking “What’s that?”. My husband loves his sweets and breads so I am looking forward to being able to satisfy his cravings and still keep it Paleo. My children are also taking to Paleo pretty well and it would be nice to have a cookbook that goes with our new lifestyle so they can learn that cooking Paleo isn’t hard (teach them young!). I love that the cookbook has child friendly recipes so they can still have the typical kid food just a healthier version of it.

  • Michelle Beard

I am excited for tasty, family friendly recipes. I love to get my 8yo and 4yo in the kitchen helping to prepare our meals! I went Paleo after having gallbladder issues, and getting my family on board has been a chore. I find as long as I keep the recipes simple and flavorful, they dont miss the processed junk, and I am teaching them invaluable life lessons on how to nourish their bodies…not just fill up on food! Thanks for the opportunity :)

  • Marlina

AHHHH everything looks and sounds so good!!!! I’m most excited for a new book from you guys to cook from throughout the week!

  • Donna

I would love to be a tester! My husband and I have been following a Paleo diet for 2 years now and I am always looking for new recipes!

  • Aubrey Hone Bahr

  • Amy Marie Newland

I would absolutely love to be a tester! Either way I’m so excited for this book. My husband is the pickiest eater I’ve ever met, but he loves nearly everything I’ve made from your books and website! It’s about the only way I’ve been able to get him to eat healthy food. Thanks for being such a great resource!!

  • jessica kenney

I would love to be a tester. What I look forward to seeing in Real Life Paleo is the every day. I love all the Paleo books I have, but sometimes the recipes are just too fancy for my hubby. He likes simple things like spaghetti and meatballs, but some recipes are super difficult and scare him off because of their names!

  • jessica kenney

I own and have posted a review of Beyond Bacon on Amazon.

  • Sarah Bartz

I’d love to be a tester for this book! I’m the most excited to see the new recipes in Real Life Paleo.

  • Melissa Weber

  • Jeanene

I love the Real Life Paleo. I will look forward to any kinds of recipes that are bread like items. I miss that the most. But, for the testing, I would test anything you would need me to do! I appreciate you all so much! I pray for much continued success for you all!

  • Dahlena Kullman

Heck I’d test them all!!!

RLP would make my PaleoParents library complete (until the next book of course!) and it would be a HUGE PRIVILEGE to be a tester. Everything you guys do is amazing so how could RLP not be?! I have your two other
books and 3PP and love them all. As a mom of 3 young kids I love that you guys are PARENTS! The boys want ELAD read to them at night! Telling the boys we’d be “testing” recipes for you would be AWESOME as
they say! And it would probably get them to eat anything ;-) …. Oh and you need a few Canadians on your panel :) …. oh and if I get picked, I will pay for shipping of the book, if it’s anything like Beyond Bacon, PDF wont do its beauty justice!

  • Kiersten

I’d love to be a tester! My husband is deploying next week so I’ll have lots of extra time on my hands to cook. That

  • Amanda S.

  • Jessica Brown

I would love to be a tester I have 3 kids and a home day care so I can give tons of feedback!!

  • Elastigirl

I would love to try some of your recipes. I have been Paleo for 2 years, but my husband and 3 kids are not. I would love to convert them by inciting them with your recipes! My life would be so much easier, not having to make separate meals all the time.

  • Heather Neal

The words “real life” are what sucks me in – pretty books and recipes are great but if you can’t relate and actually make those foods for your family then what’s the point? As the mom of a two year old with wheat, dairy, and soy allergies, I know alllll about ReAL life. :)

  • Anthony

I would love to be a tester for y’all! I can’t wait to have real life applications of this lifestyle for my family, who is pretty unsure.

  • Beth Miranda

I would love to be a tester. I am excited about the new book because cooking 3 paleo meals a day for a family of four, I always need new recipes! Thanks for all you do!

  • Sheila S

What excites me the most about Real Life Paleo is that I LOVE your recipes and “real life” recipes sound like practical recipes that my family will actually eat. Not fancy, gourmet meals that take forever to prepare just real food for real people – at least I hope that is what the book will be :-) I would love to test your new recipes!

  • Jeff T

I would love to be a tester for the recipe book. Your Beyond Bacon book has been quite vital for us in cooking pork, and 90% of the recipes are truly great. In this recipe book, I hope to see many more great recipes outside of using pork as well as how you tackle some gluten-free items like the Thai dishes above and Carnita Tostones with Mexi-Cauli-Rice.

  • mollydce

My husband and I would love to be testers! He loves trying new recipes and I love to help eat them. After that we enjoy discussing what we liked/disliked or how to adjust the recipe for next time to make it even better! The added bonus is introducing new foods to our two year old son and watching him experience delicious, good for you food from the beginning! (He’s a sous chef in training).
Real Life Paleo looks and sounds like it would be a cookbook that teaches you new ways to prepare food that is good for your body and enjoy the paleo lifestyle! I’m excited to learn more from Real Life Paleo!

  • Eleanor

I’d love to be a tester! Those carnita to stones look amazing!

  • Laura Butts

I’d love to test those chicken strips! My family could use some new recipes!!

  • Rosie

I love Beyond Bacon and can’t wait to try out the recipes from Real Life!

  • Kelly B.

I would be so thrilled to be a tester! I try to eat very healthfully, but my husband is resistant, so we typically end up eating two separate dishes at the same meal. Testing your recipes would give us the opportunity to get back to shared meals we can both agree upon.

  • Joanna Smith

The thought of being a secret recipe tester is so exciting, because A) I love food and B) the Paleo diet has been a lifesaver for me since I have celiac disease. I also love making creations in the kitchen – including my own gluten-free cookies, which I turned into a small business. “Real Life Paleo” sounds amazing, because it will allow home cooks to try recipes that are both delicious and time-friendly. I hope I make the cut for the recipe-testing! :)

  • Stephanie S

I am so excited for this book. Hope I get to be a tester.

  • Barb Douma

I would love to be a tester. We are new to Paleo and would like more recipe options. Your recipes look scrumptious!

  • Laura Briggs Hamilton

I have a lot of similar issues with food limitations that Stacey does, so I would love to test out the recipes knowing that most of them I will likely be able to have!!! I am most looking forward to the goodies ~ I LOVE BB, but I have a major sweet tooth, and I’m sure those recipes are going to ROCK!!!

  • Ore Adesina

I love trying new Paleo recipes, and have no doubt that the new recipes for Real Life Paleo are sure to be a winner! To think that I had an opportunity to support you and your family in testing recipes and giving you honest and thoughtful feed back would be a dream come true, especially since you give so much to the Paleo community with free recipes, and helpful tips and advice on your podcast with Sarah Ballantyne. I usually create 3-4 new Paleo recipes a week using recipes from all over the internet and all the Paleo recipe books I currently own (including the amazing book Beyond Bacon), so preparing 10 new recipes in 2 weeks would be no problem! And if I was one of the lucky winners, you better believe I’d sign up for all of the bacon recipes first ;) Good luck to whomever is chosen!

  • Rae Ann G

I would be happy to test your recipes! The recipes I’ve tried from your blog so far have turned out great so I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got for us next. I’m still working on converting every meal into a paleo meal for my family but I am getting close to accomplishing that. There are just a few holes to fill and we’ll be set!

  • Jill

I am doing the 60 day burpee paleo challange at my local crossfit, and being able to test your recipes would be great inspiration on what I can eat! I cannot wait to see the book printed!

  • Phoenixriver2

I am a newbie to the Paleo world. Several months in and cannot get enough of the different recipes I have been trying. My family particularly my kids have been my testers so I’d like to have the opportunity. This would be a family effort on our part!!

  • Allisom

Please me!! LOL!! I have been Paleo for around 3 months… but converting the family has been a challenge. I want recipes that fit to us and our pockets. .. and your blog/recipes and insta gram have been inspiring to say the least! I hope it is me… and my family, who get to test your long awaited and amazing recipes!

  • Memory Bradley

I would love to be a tester. I have been Paleo for quite a while now so I already use the “typical” ingredients like almond flour (Honeyville), coconut flour, coconut oil, coconut butter, etc. I have my parents here starting tomorrow so I will be cooking (and hoping to convert) Paleo for them. I could use some new recipes.

  • Memory Bradley

I am really excited for the new book because I love your other books and would love to see more recipes.

  • Memory Bradley

Eat Like a Dinosaur was a great book and I am using it this summer to introduce a Paleo style of eating to my kids. Wish me luck. I admire that you had such success with your own kiddos and I recognize the amount of patience it took.

  • Kim Respass Miller

I would love to be a tester! Those chicken tenders look epic – and I usually fail at those for some reason. Nothing like a dried out chicken puck. Pick me, pick me! :) ~Paleointhemiddle

  • Kim Respass Miller

Bonus entry – I have reviewed both Beyond Bacon and ELaD. Beyond Bacon is my go-to for dinners, and has become the perfect cookbook for my mom who just recently had to have stomach surgery and weaned off a liquid protein diet.

  • Tamara Whitelaw

My husband hates eggs so if I can come up with yummy breakfast items, that would be epic. I also need some bakery ideas too.

  • Grace Veenker

I would love to test some of your recipes! I truly love everything I’ve made from ELAD, and the three-phase paleo e-book has been such an amazing resource for me.

  • Jen

I would be an amazing recipe tester and sign NDAs to test video games all the time. My lips are sealed.

  • Emily Burger

I would love to help test your recipes! I am kind of a picky recipe-user…I like the ingredients to be in order and the directions to be clear if I’m going to cook from a recipe, so I feel like I could possibly be helpful? I hope? Our kids and I love what you’ve done!

  • nicole lallier

I would love to test as well. Our family is new to Paleo and we have been so inspired by your family!

  • http://www.deploymentdivas.com/ Jessica Aycock, CHC

  • Reg

I have reviewed Beyond Bacon on Amazon.

  • Danielle Di Vito Liptak

I’m new to paleo and to be apart of this would be amazing!! I’m hoping your book will get my picky 8 yr old to actually eat a texture, color, fruit, or veggie. I’m buying Eat Like a Dinosaur this weekend with my son in mind. . If any of the recipes are like your Bacon & Apple Stuffed pork chops then the book is going to be crazy good.

  • Shireen Michael

I really would love to test your new recipes!
In Germany paleo and also your books are not yet so popular, so your new book would be another possibility to get inspiration and information!
I really enjoy your blog :)

  • Julie

Im Digging those baked chicken wings four ways- that’s what I’m excited about with real life paleo!

I love your blog as a real life mom in No. VA. I’m a committed paleo eater myself, slowly incorporating the rest of the family. I love all your recipes from the blog and BB, but mostly I just love reading about you guys going about your family life.

  • Erica Lorenz-Hays

I want to! I’m always looking for ways to get my kids to try new things!

Pick me, pick me! I am new to the paleo lifestyle and am slowly dragging my family into eating healthier. I would love to be a recipe tester and try them out on my family. I have a picky teenager and I know it’s a good recipe when he will eat it and ask for more.

  • Maggie Raptis

I would love to test new offal recipes, but the Lemon Drop Cookies look fantastic as well.

My husband and I started paleo a couple months ago and have seen a dramatic change in our health. The first book I purchased was 3 Phase Paleo. Thank you for your blog and books! They’ve been a great help!

  • Kim Underwood

I would LOVE to be a tester!! I bought your 3 phase paleo book and it’s wonderful!! Still in phase 1! Your recipes are inventive and TASTE GOOD!!

  • Pamela Valentinis-Dee

I would be excited to test your recipes! Because of the diagnosis of ADHD with my son and the push for the doctors to give him medicine, I looked for alternative ways to help him. I have bought beyond bacon and even eat like a dinosaur to give me ideas of how to cook for my two kids and husband. Believe me it was not easy for my family to slowly transfer over to non-processed foods and being a teacher meant carving out time to do things ahead of time but it is well worth it. My son has not needed to go on medicine and he at least is more open to trying more wholesome approaches. My daughter and husband are my two picky people so testing recipes would be a splendid opportunity to add new things to our diet.

    • angela

That’s great that you are trying the diet approach to treat his ADHD. So many parents just put their kids on meds to begin with without seeing if it could be treated naturally. We changed our daughters diet a couple of months ago to help her with her concentration… she has many ADD symptoms and her doctor suggested the gluten and dairy free diet. We decided that the whole family was going to go on the same diet. And you are right…. it’s not easy transitioning and you have to plan your meals and snacks. But it’s so worth it. We are all healthier because of it… meals and snacks fixed at home and no more drive thru bags of food. Good luck and I hope your son continues to do well!

  • Jen Janes

Pick me, I would love to test your recipes! I’m always looking for new recipes! The lemon drop cookies look so yummy!

  • Amy

I would love to be a tester! I am very excited about your new book and those pictures have teased me even more! I am relatively new to paleo and would call myself more “paleo-ish”…your recipes are making me drop the ish more and more though!

  • Christina Ondera

I would absolutely love to be a tester! I bought your 3-phase Paleo book and I am working on getting myself and my family all into Paleo to improve our health and would love to try the new recipes :)

  • QJet

The Peruvian chicken and carnitas tostones look mouth watering!

  • Jamie

These recipes sound awesome. I am always in search of the perfect thai/ curry recipe. I would love to be a tester. We like to try several new recipes a week to keep from being bored!

  • Erin Carlson

I would love to be a tester! I have an 8 year old who is very competent in the kitchen and can do some testing on her own as well to give the recipe a “kid stamp of approval”. Especially those lemon drop cookies…

  • Nancy Dzieciolowski-Kirkland

I am new to paleo and am looking forward to some real life recipes . I have worked in the culinary area for six years at Sur La Table. And I have a passion for cooking. I already own beyond bacon, and have pre ordered Real Life Paleo.

  • christine

I would be happy to help out with you cookbook as a tester. Really excited for another great book from you guys, and excited for more kid approved recipes for my two paleo eaters. We love Eat Like a Dinosaur.

  • Nancy Dzieciolowski-Kirkland

I own Beyond Bacon as I am selective in which books I buy, this was on my list after some research . I kind of have cookbook fetish :-)

  • Nancy Dzieciolowski-Kirkland

And lat but not least I have already pre ordered Real Life Paleo.

  • Janelle

I would absolutely love to be a tester. I love that this book is featuring foods that are meant for every day, normal, real life eating and still include such a wide spectrum of foods to appeal to all tastes and cravings. I know that the key to me keeping my Paleo lifestyle in check is to eat tons of nutrient dense foods in new and interesting ways so I never get bogged down or bored. So testing these recipes would be ideal for me. Plus, I’m a busy medical student and can give an honest critique not only on how the foods taste, but also the ease of following and executing the recipes in a feasible amount of time.

  • Sheila H.

So many of your recipes are used daily, especially AIP ones. I would love to be a recipe tester for you. My three boys are all very different eaters and if all like something, then it is a definite winner.

  • angela

I love to try new recipes and would love to be a tester. I have the Eat like a Dinosaur book and I’m looking forward to more delicious recipes in the Real Like Paleo book. My family started a gluten and mostly dairy free diet a couple of months ago and my son is a REALLY picky eater. So I need all the healthy and kid friendly recipes I can get! Thank you for the books, blog, and everything you do to help the families like us!

  • http://hardgaingrokcooking.tumblr.com/ Cameron Don

It would be awesome to be a tester. The thing I am most excited for in Real Life Paleo, is that Im sure just like all your other books (BB,ELAD, and 3PP) every single recipe is going to be rock solid. These are real cookbooks not gimmicky ones like some paleo cookbooks. It looks like there is an amazing array of nutrient dense food, and delicious treats/snacks! Overall I cannot wait for this book to be released, so I can cook nonstop for days!

  • Ambere Hartman

I would love to test your new recipes! My son loves to help make things from Eat like a Dinosaur.

    • Ambere Hartman

Left a review for eat like a dinosaur

  • Farah Lane

What an exciting opportunity! I would love to be a tester and get my 8 year old and 11 year old more involved in our cooking for the family!! This is awesome!

  • Deb

With those pictures? Who wouldn’t want to be a tester?! My mouth drools. And you need a Canadian, right?

  • Sara Brown

I would love to be a tester. I am most excited about many new recipes to try in Real Life Paleo. Thanks!

  • Rebekah Reddy

I would love to be a tester! I’m always trying out new recipes to keep things fresh for my husband and three kids–Real Life Paleo would be a great resource and I can’t wait to try out the recipes inside.

  • Melody

Stop with the Snickerdoodle Whoopie Pies! I’m most excited about having a pretty book in my hands. LOVE all the recipes available online, but nothing quite compares to having an actual book propped up on my counter with splatters of food all over it. Excited!

  • Mary

I am most excited for more recipes to dazzle the taste buds.

  • Dawn

How fabulous being a tester would be! Busy working mom trying to switch to VERY opinionated teenagers and a picky husband to paleo has not been easy. These pictures show foods that I think they will love!

Hello from Finland! I have both of your cookbooks here at home. I am a foodie and love healthy clean eating and love watching my boys devour it all with enthusiasm. Although I haven’t preordered the book yet, I will definitely be adding it to our collection! Best of luck to everyone! Pick me! Pick me!

  • Natalie

  • Nikki

Would love to be a tester! I cook for a family of five, including a child with type 1 diabetes and one child with a severe dairy allergy, and I am gluten-intolerant! Paleo has saved us, as it gives us meals we can ALL eat! My youngest loves to peruse our copy of Eat Like a Dinosaur and find yummy things to make with me, and I’d love to encourage this 6 year-old’s cooking and baking endeavors!

  • lovelyleti78

Being a tester would be amazing, I am most excited to see what new kid friendly recipes you have in the new book!

  • Laurie Mathieu

Looks like you could use a “senior” tester. My husband I have lost a combined 50 lbs in the last six months and would love to represent the over 60′s who are changing their lifestyles becasue of health issues.

  • Carol Bale

  • Renee V.

I’m most eager about your new book because I’m pretty sure they are going to be ‘real’ recipes that most of us can make. There have been several recipes I’ve wanted to try, but don’t have some of the random ingredients (I’m still a little new to it).

  • Janna

I’d love to be a recipe tester (and my kids would love to be the recipients of all those tested recipes)! Its so hard to choose what part of Real Life Paleo being released that I am most excited about. Will it be the delicious new recipes? The gorgeous photography like we saw in Beyond Bacon? Will it be bragging to all my friends about the amazing breakfast/lunch/dinner that I made from the book? I think its going to be all of the above ;) Thanks for giving us a chance to test your recipes!

  • Carina Jaynes

I love me some sweets! I am excited to try all of the delicious sweets in ‘Real Life Paleo’. My absolute favorite cookie is a snicker doodle, so I was ecstatic to see the snicker doodle whoopsie pies

  • Huong Nguyen

The highlight of my week is walking down aisle of grocery stores. I admit to having a problem: I’m a grocery shopping freak! **phew** happy to get that off my chest ~~ When I switched over to Paleo diet early this year (for health reasons), I thought my life was going to be just steaks and salads. Then I stumbled across your blog. It was the first thing that has inspired me to dust off my apron, get in the kitchen, and make every meal delicious, colorful, and beautiful :) I’m looking forward to Real Life Paleo for that continued motivation to diversify my paleo meals …and to feed my grocery shopping addiction!

  • Tilly

Wow totally in, we love eat like a dinosaur. I would love an excuse to cook and enjoy good food more often then I already do, and I am sure my family wont protest either

Pick me! Pick me! I have most of our half cow, half pig, lamb, and salmon (with all of their organs and bones) needing to be eaten. Plus, I have a ton of almond flour and coconut flour waiting to be used more. I’m prepared for this!

  • Rebecca Chou

Second entry: I am also a great candidate because I’ve made several recipes from my beautiful copy of Beyond Bacon (and have thus inspired others to buy their own copy too). :)

  • Mandie Lopez Peterson

I would love to be chosen as a recipe taster because I have been eating Paleo for a couple of years and could use some fresh ideas! Also, you’ll be getting 5 testers in all, as my family loves to try new things. I own Beyond Bacon (left a review) and use it frequently to make the most of the hog in our freezer. I made the Maple Pumpkin Pancakes for bfast this morning…yum! We have half of a cow being delivered next week and can’t wait to try your new beef recipes!

  • Janette Bennett

What I am most excited about, Chocolate layer cake, no chicken fingers, wait Snickerdoodle whoopie pies, no wait breakfast burritos, who am I kidding they all sound fab!!

  • Sara S

I want to be a tester!!! Please!!! It would so help me transition my kids!!!

  • Hazel

I love to cook and have so enjoyed your blog and recipes since switching to paleo 2 years ago. I’m really excited about y’alls book because you have such and easy approach to paleo. Your recipes are deliciously laid back without being light on flavor or uniqueness! I have no doubt your newest cookbook will follow suit. The recipes sound phenomenal and allow everyone to make healthier choices without giving up their favorite foods! The “how-to” section and index sound like y’all have worked hard to make finding the perfect meal simple!! I can’t wait to cook through it!

  • Erika

I literally just got my brand spankin’ new stove today and I’m itching to break it in with some fab new recipes! I’m excited to try some of the Latin-inspired recipes in Real Life Paleo.

Paleo has been helping me heal my gut as well as many other parts of my health! With a toddler and husband at home who love good grub, some new and tasty ideas would be a boost for my family at this time. We would LOVE to be testers for your newest recipes. My family and I hope to be considered!

I want to be a tester. I am very new to eating Paleo and I have a son who is a picky eater. I find it very difficult to find paleo recipes that he likes.

  • Leslie Wilcox Carlisle

I would love to test some of your recipes. I am converting our family of 9 over to paleo one recipe at a time. A friend recommended Eat Like A Dinosaur…we loved the chicken nuggets and I bought the 3 Phase Paleo. Thanks for sharing your paleo journey.

  • http://www.plexusslim.com/amypavlock Amy P

I would love to test out your recipes on my family of 6!

  • JoAnne Fraschilla-Clinton

Do you still need testers? If so I’d love to be one. I’ve been paleo for a year but have had difficulty dragging my family along. So many paleo recipes are too much for my household of picky eaters. I’ve loved Beyond Bacon and have actually converted several of our meals to paleo using your ideas. I desperately need more if I am to drag them along and make a healthier life for everyone (and fewer double meals – one for mom and one for everyone else)!
